BLACK FACTORY
The Factory in Calderón's rhetorical and poetic construction – the Gallardan factory of the universe – and the Black that discolours the paths of Juan de la Cruz's mystical eros in the dark and obscure of cognitive asceticism. A female body penetrates the space of the Great Hall full of the signs of artistic creation. In its absolute nakedness the human body encloses the density of Juan de la Cruz's poetic verse, he yokes her, he hits it with the powerful muscle of the human being. In the rigorous geometry of movement, the ascetic tension of the word is arranged on the spatial field like an algebraic mechanics of the unknowable: God's mathematics.
On a dark night
With anxieties inflamed in love,
Oh damned fortune!
I left without being noticed,
My house having already calmed down.
In the dark, and safe
For the secret masked staircase,
Oh damned fortune!
In the dark, and hidden,
My house having already calmed down.
In the cursed night
In secret, no one saw me,
Nor did I look at anything,
Without other light and guidance,
Except the one that burned in my heart.

Sandra Soncini has solid experience as a dancer-actress and it shows: the movement sequences evolve through difficult knots and unwindings, which require expertise, check, abandonment. more (…)
