There is a time before the stars.
After the mulberry curve.
I sit and wait for them.
The verse already lives inside every material and immaterial thing, memory and present as an elusive image, streak of light and shadow like a cut of sunlight between oak branches, rhythmic wave is refracted.
In the first chapter of the HAIKU project they flow in a pulsating flow, in a 'systolic' gallop several of the poet's lyrics and some verses chosen by Pier Luigi Bacchini from Ezra Pound's production, Friedrich Holderlin, Rainer Maria Rilke. To Pier Luigi Bacchini, great Parma poet who passed away in 2014, Lenz has dedicated since 1996 al 2015 numerous and vibrant scenic transcriptions edited by Francesco Pititto.
The re-edition of HAIKU was born from the convergence with the political-cultural assumptions of environmentalist associations and the Nature Restoration Law, Lenz's poetic-performative project originally created by Maria Federica Maestri and Francesco Pititto in 2001 at the Lipu Oasis in Torrile and now revived from the perspective of an ethical theatrical ecosystem, which does not discard the productions of the past, but actively regenerates them, in a virtuous chain of creative flourishes.
The project tends to re-imagine disappeared nature and restore the memory of the lost environment, Through the power of short verses according to the Japanese formula of the haiku dedicated to the sacredness of existence in the animal re-vigorous, vegetable, MINERAL.
Poetry in action acts according to the principle of repair: the damage that man has caused in nature is not limited to the actual destruction of the environment, but it affects the very ability to know/feel ourselves in the whole, part of a plural cosmogony: beings in the multiple. So the regeneration will have to be twofold: repair the loss and rebuild what we have lost 'outside' and 'inside'.
