THE CHILD ALONE
“Once upon a time the poet was there to name things: like for the first time, they told us as children, as on the day of Creation. Today he seems there to say goodbye to them, to remind men of them, tenderly, painfully, before they are extinct. To write their names on the water: perhaps on that same rising wave that will soon have overwhelmed them. A shady park, the green mirror of a lake flowed by beautiful golden mallards, in the heart of the city, of the storm of reinforced concrete. How can you not think when looking at it: the last lake, the last shady park?
Who today is not aware of this, he is not a poet of today".
Cristina Campo again to talk about our time, her again to talk about Fairy Tales and Poetry.
“Attention is the only path to the inexpressible, the only road to mystery. In fact it is solidly anchored in reality and, only for allusions hidden in reality, the mystery manifests itself. The symbols of the sacred scriptures, of myths, of fairy tales, which for millennia have nourished and consecrated life, they dress in the most concrete forms of this earth: from the Burning Bush to the Talking Cricket, from the Apple of Knowledge to Cinderella's Pumpkins.
Faced with reality, the imagination retreats. Instead, attention penetrates it, directly and as a symbol – … It therefore is, in the end, the most legitimate form, absolute imagination".
Name and read the reality of things on multiple levels. Pier Luigi Bacchini wrote a fairy tale entitled The Alone Child , he wrote it for Lenz Rifraczioni. It's the first fairy tale, requested or stimulated, since it is already latent, experimental, new and therefore mysterious.
The circles in the water of the latest haiku have produced an unexpected movement, the water has overflowed the bank of the sheet.
“I write it with the theater in mind, how it will be said, to the sound of the voice that tells": this attention is also part of the poetic task.
Pier Luigi is considered one of the greatest living Italian poets, he has published with various publishing houses, has received prestigious awards and prizes and, dal 1996, edition after edition accompanies the growth of this "shady park" which we wanted to name "Natura Dèi Teatri". Every year, at the end of summer or at the beginning of autumn something happens in the landscape of things, reality returns around us, the truth in pictures. The poet dissolves and recomposes those figures, mediate between man and god, between man and another man, between man and the secret rules of nature.
